Pastor Steve Barkey, Lead Pastor
Pastor Steve spent several years as a high school teacher and ten years as a youth pastor before God called him to “plant” a church and become a full-time senior pastor in 2003. He and his wife, Sharon have 2 daughters, Brianna and Brooke. He is a staunch Sparty but we try not to hold it against him!
Favorite hobbies: Dating his wife and daughters, MSU Athletics, Cincinnati Bengals football, getaways to New York City, cycling, downloading music, going to concerts, fantasy sports, history buff.
Favorite TV shows: Army Wives (yes its a chick show, but my wife loves it), The Twilight Zone, The Wonder Years, American Idol (with Brianna).
Favorite music: A wide variety including instrumental, modern praise and worship, Broadway musicals, acoustic, country and just about everything else but rap.
Most unforgettable moment: “There are many, but right at the top (after my wedding day, and birth of my two daughters) was to baptize my daughter Brianna and my grandfather, Charles Bowman, in the same day at Stony Creek Lake!”

Favorite Saying: “I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.” (Phillipians 4:13)
Favorite hobbies: “Walking at Stoney Creek Park with my husband (my favorite part is eating TCBY after our walk), reading shopping with my girls and eating chicago style popcorn while watching a movie.”
Favorite TV show: Dancing with the Stars and American Idol.
Favorite music: Country and John Mayer.
Most unforgettable moment: “The question “Will you marry me?” from Steve in a fortune cookie (the best Christmas present ever) and the birth of my two beautiful girls. I am so thankful for God’s blessings in my life.
Robin Schwartzkopf, Administrative Assistant
Robin has been married 32 years to Larry. They have been blessed with a son David; age 21. Robin was raised in a Christian home, loves children and has spent close to 15 years as a Sunday School teacher. She feels very blessed to be able to serve the Lord through serving the church.
Favorite saying: “With God ALL things are possible.”
Favorite hobbies: “Baking, cooking, crocheting, gardening and spending time with my family, we love to eat!”

Favorite music: “Most Christian music, oldies but goodies & country music.”
Most unforgettable moment: “Standing with my husband at O’Hara airport waiting for our baby son from Korea to be placed in my arms.”
