The Grove

At Orchard Ridge we understand how vital it is to reach our children and help them to grow in God. We’re here to help them build the foundation they need in Christ. Our ministry verse is 1 Corinthians 3:9-11 9:

“For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building. By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as an expert builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should be careful how he builds. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.”

Our Core values of children’s ministry are:

1. Children will understand God loves them.
2. Children will learn to worship, pray, and serve the Lord.
3. Children will have age appropriate lessons enriches with creativity and fun.
4. Children will learn about foundational stories from the Bible.
5. Children will learn to study and apply the Word of God.

Sunday Mornings

ORCN offers the Grove for children currently in 1st through 6th Grade. Kids worship with their families in the sanctuary and are then dismissed to The Grove where the Bible Lesson is shared along with songs, fun games and activities. Sunday morning worship classes at grade level are offered following the worship service. Children can be picked up immediately following service in the morning.

Bible teaching, fun and games, and snacks are also provided for preschool – Kindergarten age children. A nursery is also available for younger children.

PARENT PICK-UP – At ORCN, we take your child’s safety seriously. All of the adults who work with children pass a background check and must be regular attendees at ORCN for at least six months before joining our Children’s Ministry Team. Once your child is “checked in” to any of our children ministries on Sunday morning, they will be supervised and watched over until a parent comes and picks them up. Please keep in mind our ministry team cannot leave their areas until all children are picked up, so please retrieve your children promptly after Church is over. Thank you.
